Danica Training Services offers a range of high-quality training courses online as well as in-person classes at our office locations at the major seafarer hubs in Eastern Europe.
Our courses go one step beyond statutory and standard courses: Danica training courses are designed based on studies of seafarers’ competence gaps and are delivered by experienced instructors. Such high competence levels empower the participating seafarers to successfully fulfil their duties on board ship, thus ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective operations of the ship owner’s assets.
Danica’s online courses take the format of either classroom-style broadcasts, interaction with an instructor, self-study, or blended courses which are a combination of these formats.
Online classroom courses have proven to be a very efficient learning method. Course participants have been proven to stay more focused and concentrate harder during the training sessions compared to traditional classroom sessions. In addition, online courses are more cost effective since they do not involve travelling and lodging expenses. Participants also praise the fact that carrying out online training at home means they do not need to be away from their families or disrupt their onshore vacation periods.
Courses are either delivered by Danica’s staff, or are offered in cooperation with preferred training partners who are duly audited and monitored by Danica.
