Danica Crewing Specialists is holding a seminar on 8th June during Posidonia 2022 in Athens to discuss the importance of employing a diversified crewing strategy.
The Covid-19 pandemic and the recent crisis in Ukraine have presented a variety of challenges for the crew supply sector. In addition, the International Chamber of Shipping predicts a seafarer shortage by 2024, with wage rises anticipated to follow.
Our 75-minute seminar, commencing at 16.45pm, will outline how best to shield your business from changes in crew availability. We’ll also discuss how a versatile crewing strategy benefits the planning and recruitment process, and advise on the importance of using a robust screening process.
Danica Managing Director Henrik Jensen will give an overview of each of the principle crew supply areas, and Peter Jarvsoo, Managing Director and Partner of Danica Crewing Specialists Baltics, will give an update on the current situation with Ukrainian seafarers.
They will be joined by Angeliki Belia, Crewing Manager, New Port S.A, and Danica’s Dimitris Liolios for a panel discussion which will discuss all aspects of a successful recruitment and retention strategy, consider how to ensure crew have the right competencies for their roles, and will include a question and answer session.
Guests are invited to stay for a networking drink at 6pm.
