As we head into 2025, Danica’s successful crewing portal – www.danica-crewing.com – is streamlining our recruitment process and providing an effective platform for seafarers across the globe.
Utilising our new built-in AI interactive system, our portal is able to communicate directly with tens of thousands of crew members – sending them job opportunities via the WhatsApp messaging service and responding to their feedback as well as answering questions.
Our CEO Henrik Jensen says that the new system is working well: “This method of communicating with seafarers is generating high response rates and enabling us to streamline our recruitment services as we fill vacancies for our clients across the world. We’re also able to gather useful feedback from our extensive global seafarer database which will enable us to guide our owners on their vacancies.”
Citing an example, he reports that a recent job vacancy was sent to 250 seafarers who had the desired experience and more than 80% replied. Mr Jensen points out: “That would have taken one person a week to call all of them.”
